I have lived and worked in the Far East and mainland Europe before coming to the UK. During my life journey I have rubbed shoulders with people from many cultures and social backgrounds. I've faced poverty, loneliness, anxiety, low self-esteem and depression - and can relate with clients going through similar transitions. The good news is that it is possible to overcome these hurdles and get to that better place where you can find yourself and live out of the values you hold dear. Before training as a counsellor, part of my work involved facilitating global teams and resolving sometimes hidden conflicts.
In counselling I work within an integrative framework - that is, my approach is a holistic one, using knowledge and skills that are most relevant to your needs and circumstances.
MY COUNSELLING EXPERIENCE includes 2+ years occupational health counselling within the NHS, and 5 years elsewhere (grief and bereavement counselling in a hospice, Christian and community counselling, EAP and my private practice). I am happy to counsel people of all faiths or none.

I am an accreditated counsellor with both the ACC, and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. My practice complies with their Ethical Codes, which promote good practice and ensure the safety of the client. I am also supported with clinical supervision and professional indemnity insurance, and have a valid DBS check.
